Bauer's Accuser Releases Statement
Lindsey Hill, Trevor Bauer's accuser, has responded to the pitcher's recent video in which he shared texts and a video in an attempt to exonerate himself from the sexual assault charges against him. In her statement, Hill maintained her accusations and criticized Bauer's actions.
Bauer's Video Defense
On April 16, 2024, Bauer posted a four-minute video online in which he displayed alleged messages and a video from the morning after one of his encounters with Hill. According to Bauer, these materials prove his innocence and support his claim that the encounter was consensual.
Hill has since released a statement through her attorney, denying Bauer's claims and accusing him of further victimizing her. She stated, "This video is nothing more than an attempt to manipulate the public and undermine my credibility."
Additional Accusations
In addition to Hill's accusation, Bauer is also facing a second sexual assault allegation from Darcy Adanna Esemonu. In his video, Bauer provided information related to this second accusation, but Esemonu has not yet publicly commented on the matter.
The Los Angeles Dodgers released Bauer in December 2022 following an independent investigation into the allegations against him. He is currently a free agent and has denied all wrongdoing.
The case is ongoing, and it is expected to draw significant public attention in the coming months.
