My Hero Academia Voice Actors Interviewed at Anime Expo 2024

Japanese voice actors Daiki Yamashita and Kenta Miyake join Shade for an exclusive interview

In celebration of the anime's eighth anniversary, the original voice acting cast from Japan joined Shade for a special interview at Anime Expo 2024.

Daiki Yamashita, the voice of Izuku Midoriya, and Kenta Miyake, the voice of All Might, made special appearances at the event to discuss their roles in the popular anime series.

During the interview, Yamashita and Miyake shared their thoughts on the characters they voice, the evolution of the series, and their experiences working on My Hero Academia. They also answered questions from the audience, providing fans with a unique insights into the world of Japanese voice acting.

My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero anime series based on the manga of the same name by Kohei Horikoshi. The anime follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy who dreams of becoming a hero despite being born without a Quirk, a special ability that is common in the world of My Hero Academia. With the help of his mentor, All Might, Izuku enrolls in a prestigious hero academy and begins training to become the next Symbol of Peace.

The anime has been a huge success both in Japan and internationally, and has spawned several spin-off series, OVAs, and films. The eighth season of the anime is currently scheduled to premiere in Japan later this summer.
